I mean let’s agree that yes the guy under questions may be of the wrong cut. But he can repent. He can tell the truth. I’ll pray to God to help this man show a better side, walk in the light and tell the truth. Kyle deserves the truth. We all saw it. We all know it. And let’s forgive those who did wrong that night.
But we Christians aim to be like our maker. We aim to have His forgiveness and mercy. It’s difficult for us as servants to our almighty Father in Heaven. But we should try. Our Father ask for such. I’d shake that man hands if his truth releases Kyle from this hell. And would stand beside him while he is served his sentence from the judge.
Forgiveness is for those who repent only...and forgiveness does NOT relieve the wrongdoer of the responsibility of paying the price of his wrongdoing. You can forgive a murderer, but they must still serve their sentence.
Easy, high-minded "I forgive you"s to unrepentant thugs is sickening.

This is essentially what I said as soon as I saw it. I thought to myself, "Maybe he has found Jesus."
I think better to leave it to their maker to forgive.

A word of advice...When you shake his hand, be gentle so his arm doesn't fall off from where Kyle blew it damn near in half.

If we sinners can forgive a man, then imagine what our Lord and Savior can do!
