Simple reverse psychology. Good parents know how to use it on reticent and rebellious children to get them to do what the parent says "not to do".....which is EXACTLY what the parent wants them to do.
This gives the child a false-positive feeling of rebelliousness, while actually obeying the parent's wishes.
We are using logic to define what Trump has used countless times as President in the Oval Office to bait the Dems and others to do exactly what he wanted them to do by faking resistance. Their ego's and self-worth are temporarily boosted until they found out it was a trap, making them even more desperate to "be right" next time. This creates a cascade effect of mistakes, oversights, and outright stupid decisions to "get him" at all costs.
Then why was he fighting it? It would have gotten the same result if he did not fight the release? Something I am not getting here?

Trump has done this many times.
So, we are assuming that Biden would not have released the documents without trump filing a lawsuit to stop him?
No, we are assuming nothing.
