It was amazing how the entire media was supporting Bush 100% during that military action. IIRC, he had a 90% approval rating heading into the 1992 POTUS election. Half of the reason Clinton (who certainly knew Bush before 1992) won the Rat nomination is because no Democrats wanted to run against Bush.
Bush basically let Clinton win. People blame Perot, but Bush had more than enough power to make sure some 3rd party was going to screw him out of the Presidency. Bush wanted Clinton to win.
