I think that in any profession you will find that the majority of the people in it have the education credentials but are not necessarily very good at what they do.

I have been in a position where I have had to hire numerous medical professionals (OT, SLP, PT), and over the years I've come to the conclusion that only a very few actually know what they are doing - they just 'get it'.

The rest charge fees and hold sessions, but they just don't have a knack for what they are supposed to be doing.
