One of the problems we face is that it's actually difficult to build a mental model of what the people who don't share our news sources actually believe are the facts in a given case.
We can watch the news and laugh at them railing at something we know is silly, but the structure that they (the people watching it, not the news casters) have in their minds is rarely laid out very clearly. Exasperated by their tendency to pressure people away from exploring the perimeters of the narrative so overviews are scarce.
When someone sees it clearly like in this screenshot, it's obvious to them what's been wrong up until that point, but usually it's just not clear to us. Or maybe just to me, I dunno. Reading this makes it much clearer what they're thinking.
