I suspect we’re starting to see the results of a 3 year strategy to cripple China economically. This has been a multi-front initiative targeting logistical, financial, and physical assets.
Like all communist countries, China would implode in a half decade if left to itself. They found a loophole where they could bribe Western politicians, media, etc to sell out the west to them. This allowed them to thrive as an economic parasite. It seems that the host is now pushing back.
Just to be clear, decoupling from China and the resulting crash will be brutal for both countries in the short term. But the long term benefits for the world will be amazing.
