I can't figure out how Kyle could have acted more perfectly. Even leftists are saying it was self-defense.
Afaik nothing he did was illegal and he should be in the clear. However both him and his mom are fucking retarded. He obviously expected the threat of violence, which if my kid is 17 dear God I hope I've taught them that this isn't a battle worth fighting at the moment. And it damn sure isn't worth risking your own life for. Then, his fucking mom drove him to a BLM protest after a year of watching them burn loot murder.
Him being there at all while totally legal, is 100% retarded.
So in one hand we acknowledge that at that point in time it was common knowledge that burn loot murder does exactly that. Yet on the other hand we think it's totally appropriate for a mother to drop her 17 year old off to partake in such festivities?
I mean come on. Legally the kid is fine, but it was totally fucking retarded to stick around for the BLM shit at night. Next morning? Sure come back out and clean up.
And what I go back to is, this isn't the final war. This isn't a must win for Kenosha.
Had he not been there, it would have just been another BLM rally with lots of destruction, which absolutely destroys their own cause. Instead what we get is a media spectacle for a year about white supremacists shooting up BLM rallies.
Stupid fucking decision all around, his only saving grace is he was legally justified to kill a pedo and a wife beater, and injure a thief.
Not a lot was gained by Kyle, and to be critical. He risked his life to put out a fucking burning dumpster. Which is why kids shouldn't be in those positions in the first place. It's purely an act of god he had the trigger discipline and wherewithall to only act in blatant, as legally defined, self defense.
He's one judge/jury away from spending his life behind bars, even though it's all on video, and for what?
Again, I absolutely believe anyone is entitled to defend their own shit or even their neighbors. However when it's getting late and you find yourself outnumbered by what I imagine has to be close to at least 100 to 1. You need to make better decisions to protect your own life.
He's lucky he didn't die, and he will be lucky (in today's legal climate) to get off with no charges. If this were a grown man, I would be a little less judgemental because yes that man is totally responsible for his actions. However this is a 17 year old kid. If we are relying on 17 year olds to protect our communities in the way he did, we have failed as the older generation of men. Not to mention the optics help no one, and bitch as we may about optics, they are important to some degree.
The business owners of the property he went to look out for called him personally and asked him to assist in putting out the fires in the area. Kyle manned up and answered the call to action.
Had he not had that gun, and went to help, he would be dead right now most likely. No sane person should be there, but at the same time, if people do not stand up, we lose everything.
To me it comes down to, do we allow violent people to destroy out cities, without defending them lawfully? Kyle was being a better citizen than we, in my eyes. He took it upon himself to aid in the defense of a city, lawfully. And helped clean and provide aid to the persons involved, all involved, even the rioters. He was then attacked, and had no choice but to defend himself, or die.
No I would not want my child there. But I would have been there. And the murder charge against me probably would’ve stuck. I don’t think I have the trigger discipline, in that attack moment, to do as well as Kyle. What he did was amazing. And I can’t see how anyone could have done a more controlled, and clean and cut, self defense of oneself. Amazing.
If Kyle gets convicted, I mine as well go turn myself in that same day. Because of those rioters ever come to my town. I’m screwed.
That's my only point, we don't need 17 year olds with ars to protect our/their communities. Legally they can absolutely, but we need some fucking adults to step up so the children don't have to. That's it.
There is a serious lack of judgement somewhere that leads to this kid being here in the first place.
To me its the lack of judgement by adults, that lead a 17 to defend his city. We need a whole country, full of Kyle Rittenhouse’s. Our adults have become the puppets, the indoctrinated. I truely feel it’s this generation Z that could pull us out of where our previous gens took us.
Its great that you would prefer---along with your own child---to lay down like a bitch and NOT assert your own rights to self-defense, to be left alone by the brown shirts, etc....
Fortunately, there are a few patriots left who think that its "worth risking your own life for".
Great idea send your armed kid to fight BLM. That's the exact mindset that I was seeing on here which is fucking asinine.
I'd gladly risk my own life, and I'd tell the high schoolers to go home in the process, as anyone who considers himself a man would as well.
But BLM is defeating themselves so it's a battle Im not fucking dumb enough to fight.
You want to pretend I'm defending SENDING others because you need that straw man to defend the previous post. Why not just go back and EDIT the original? Its just as embarrassing.
On the other hand, at least you have identified your highest value. Its not standing up to thugs like BLM. Its the safety and comfort of your own ass. Congrats. By your own definition, that makes you "smart".
I'm only arguing that it's dumb for a 17 year old do so. I firmly believe that the fucking police, national guard, even a private Kenosha militia should have been formed >by adults<, and squashed these roaches into the pavement.
Having 17 year olds fighting such battles borders on child soldiers in my opinion. That's not a look we want associated with us.
Let me ask this, would you want your 17 year old out there with an ar against a mob of blm?
Also because I've said 17 now so many times, I'll joking connect him to Q now.
