What culture is Ric living beside to be considered an ambassador?
I don't know, though it just seems odd to use both terms at once. Maybe Maralago (maybe more like the United States of America finally as sovereign land?) is legally a foreign county, or DC & the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (aka corporation) is now the foreign entity?

Yes, that is weird. Ambassador lives in a country, and Envoy just visits for a specific mission.
If Devolution is a thing, the question is: Does Grenell live in DC?
If so, that would be the ambassadorship to a "foreign country," and the envoy mission would be an individual trip, like Serbia here. Wearing two hats -- both white. ;-)
Nothing else would make any sense.
Unless ... was Grenell an ambassdor when Trump was in the White House, and he is referring to a former official job? I dunno.
