There's aiming for a mistrial, then there's running the ball backwards into your own end zone and spiking it.

These prosecutors are desperate for a mistrial so they can spin it, that's the only thing that makes sense with this behavior.

Mistrial with prejudice means case dropped and Rittenhouse cannot be retried (double jeopardy)
