Odd thing is people have been in tx for cancer and had other immunocompromising conditions before covid... I've known many myself.... and rarely did we see anyone out in nasks. No one I know dealing with such ever wore one.
The operative word was 'rarely'...despite the many cancer pts and immunocompromised folks who have walked amongst us since long before covid. And the bigger point is that they don't effectively protect one from "germs"... and have the potential to do more harm than good since they result in your touching your face all day long
