I don't care what they do as long as they aren't shrieking at us for not wearing one. Some are whacko germophobes but some may be cancer or other immunity compromised patients and are worried about other risks besides covid.

BTW, I was reading reviews of a local Walmart earlier today. Get past about two months ago and 100% were hysterical nutjobs complaining about the store employees and customers not wearing masks or not wearing them properly. Masks stopped being required here for vaccinated months ago (and no one asks if you've been vaccinated) so some of these idiots were complaining after that.

Masks are not the hill to die on except for if people attack you over them. People are free to wear them for their own reasons. As people are free to take the shot.

There have been vaccinated and unvaccinated uniting over the importance of freedom of choice. THAT is the hill to die on. Not controlling what other people do.

Also I'm still 100% in support of keeping social distancing.

Read into it however you want.

I don't care about the 6 feet thing being scientific or not. It kept people from ramming their carts up my ass in the grocery store checkout line. Sad it took a fake pandemic for people to learn personal space, but we're not going back on that one.

If more people had chosen to fight/die on the mask hill then, we wouldn't be needing to fight/die on the jab hill now. You condone what you accept.

We went along with it because we are reasonable people. You say that as though they weren't going to try and force the jab anyway. We know they were. The mask shit is a red herring.

You do not know that fighting mask mandates would have stopped anything. According to Agenda 2030 or whichever fucked up plan, vaccine mandates were coming either way.

I was not calling anyone retarded, just pointing out the futility of calling people retarded. Exactly what you said, just smile. At any rate, I have no cause here. I've apparently stirred some up by saying I don't think I need to be telling other people they shouldn't wear a mask any more than they should be telling me I have to wear one. It's my choice, it's their choice.

Totally agree that masks may not be THE hill to die on, but is certainly A hill.

I am actively not wearing one, and have gotten kicked out of a few establishments, but my mantra is…NO PUBLIC OFFICIAL WILL EVER TELL YOU: “ IT’S SAFE NOW!”

It only ends when WE end it…I have gotten about 7 people in my friend/family group to stop complying. Most are trump supporters, one is a BIDEN voter…but when she went to Disneyland no saw how they were handling the crowds outside —crammed together in lones—without mask wearing, she saw the utter nonsensical rules. And has come back to her state and just stopped telling me to wear it when I see her. I think it’s important to just let people stop requiring it, without rubbing their face in their stupid compliance. Use grace and get anyone we can on our side.

The more bare faces people see, the faster this is over.

The reason I disregard the door mask Nazis is simple: Every major retailer has an ironclad policy of NOT confronting people in the store if they suspect someone is shoplifting, even if the employee SEES IT HAPPEN.

It is said this is due to avoiding liability for being wrong, prevent conflict, etc.

If they're going to avoid confronting a confirmed shoplifter even when they know they're guilty, who are they to harass potentially paying customers just to ensure they're following an arbitrary standard for "safety" like wearing a mask?

Masks are little more than a visual compliance metric.

Again, in my state, nobody stands at the door telling you that you have to wear a mask. NO ONE really has to wear one. The state requires that you wear one ONLY if you're unvaxxed. But nobody asks if you're vaxxed or not.

The operative word was 'rarely'...despite the many cancer pts and immunocompromised folks who have walked amongst us since long before covid. Whoa nellie I know its frustrating but they have no soul? Geez if they want to wear masks get vaxd do whatever who cares! But lets not be like them and focus on what others who have different views are doing. We all deserve our God given rights and ability to make our own heath decisions take personal responsibility.

Also in states where its mandated sometimes ppl just want to get in and out of a store with their kids, safely. I agree theres a zombie apocalypse and ppl need to wake the heck up tho. I also agree the masks spread disease and hurt the wearers. Im in a mandated dictator state, Im sometimes the only one not wearing one and yeah no one cares as far as employee enforcement. I see masked ppl look relieved and their eyes light up when I smile at them and say hi, also lower or remove their mask sometimes. Its a tough ass world rn, we are being tested and everyone is stressed and I think many appreciate friendly gestures and it empowers them.

Now when it comes to the kids, who have no choice, that is awful. These parents, my God have mercy its awful what theyre doing to their little ones masking them,

Jesus called the Pharisees a "brood of vipers". Did he literally mean they were all a different species? No, it was intended to shock them and hope they wake up. Strong words for their hard hearted mindset.

Just like you are "a meat golem" if you're following along in lockstep with the propaganda of today. The the shock and awe of the "pandemic" is long gone, people need to be thinking critically now and get out of survival mentality and toughen up.

Do you care about people's long-term lives, or them giving you a smile and placating them in the short term as they continue in bondage?

You're not forcing them to give up their rights by pushing back on the propaganda everyone's being shoved down their throats.

Truth brings light to the darkness, not warm compliance.

Have a great day.

Yeah, it can be really tough to gird yourself for a possible ugly confrontation. Some folks on the board have no trouble ever… but personally I have been yelled at by other CUSTOMERS IN THE STORE as well as the manager. It was early on—like last May 2021? April? Fear was big.

I purposefully avoided a specific grocery store because I thought they were going to be absolute nazis. I was actually THANKED BY AN EMPLOYEE!

But, she did stay with me to get me into the Right” check out line…so I could’ve gotten kicked out with a Whole cart full of food.

It can really make doing errands a real hassle on days when you just want to get stuff done.

HOWEVER I save my complete loathing for the masked outdoors - those are class above to me, for months now I walk / drive by them and say to myself GIMP - every time. Have handed complete control of their lives over, the true Covidian wears the mask outside - Govern me harder.

There is one group I don't gimp out however and that is young people masking outside - the withdrawn teenager- they will always be the innocents to me, that is so very sad to see.

If someone wants to wear a mask that’s up to them. It’s called freedom of choice. Anybody being told by a complete stranger they’re wrong is going to turn them off like a light switch. Freedom of choice is the real issue here, not what some believe is effective or not effective about wearing a mask. I say leave them alone and don’t go judging others if you don’t know their reasons for wearing a mask. Otherwise you’re just being a judgmental Richard Cranium

I like to remind them of two facts: 1) the virus is 100x smaller than the holes in your mask. A mask to stop covid is like a chain link fence to keep out mosquitoes; and 2) 90% of all hospitalizations and deaths are in people who are vitamin D deficient. About half of the people tell me they do take vitamin D, at which point they can wear the mask if they want.

PBS Documentary on 1918 Flu Pandemic (Spanish Flu)

"All of America, it seemed, put on masks. At last, many thought, they were safe. But masks didn't help. They were thin and porous -- no serious restraint to tiny microbes. It was like trying to keep out dust with chicken wire."

"A resolution shot through Congress, giving the Public Health Service a million dollars to fight the flu. Biochemists around the country worked feverishly to develop a vaccine. [...] But even vaccines didn't help."

yesterday I went to the snackbar, to get me some french fried with Curry and Mayo and onions.

It was already dark, as I wanted to open the door to go in, I heard a voice mumbling from behind a mask ...

As I turned my head towards the sound, I became aware of a figurine and was wondering what it was. It seemed the figurine was saying something...

"You said something? " I inquired of the figurine. In a blatant disregard for decorum, the figurine reached for the mask, pulled it down and said: You have to wait as I am first in line. I am here because there are too many inside!

And it turned out, a phantom of a 70 year old woman was visible.

And with still my hand on the doorknob, I queried: Really? Are you or are you not a human being? A real one!

The answer was spouted out: I am a human being. Why?

"Because, my dear, if you are, then do not hide behind a mask to be recognized as human. lest you want to lose more than your appetite".

And I graciously let her in in front of me.

She did her order and moved to the right, to plunk down on a chair.

Even N95 masks cannot filter out viruses. Most they may do is reduce some exposure in close proximity if someone sneezes on you…

If I see someone wearing a mask, I assume they are afraid, and that they have a personal reason for choosing to do so. Live and let live is my motto. I try to feel patience and pity for the person who is sick with fear, even when their behavior irritates me. We're all emotionally sick to some degree, and I try to grant the person I dislike the same tolerance and pity I'd grant to a sick friend. That said, I'm lucky to live in a place where most people don't wear masks!
