I am starting to think this isn't so much about the military being in plain sight.

I am thinking this means its

The Military

The CIA, FBI, etc

It's all behind the scenes ops to take down the intel agencies (deep state)

Behind the scenes. Disinformation, aka lying. Covering up. Too much secrecy. Too much darkness. The truth is the best weapon we have, but we aren't using it. Too many excuses.
