I recently learned a silent partner with Jeff Vivek's HUGE undertaking of transforming downtown Tampa into a modern (sick) metropolis is...
Bill Gates.
Went to downtown Tampa waterfront district for the first time in years recently. The architecture literally made me feel I was in Hell. There's a Publix in a highrise where the architecture makes it appear to be sitting in flames.
It's filled with clones and demons. Not an exaggeration.
I live in Tampa and disagree. There are pockets of bad but theyโre mainly just... um..certain ethnic groups killing each other over drugs or gang shiz. There was some rioting after Saint Floyd but it was brief and that was in one of the worst areas of Tampa- USF/ suitcase city. You could still go there during the day and be totally fine. The drug dealers and strippers are real personable, lol. But Hillsborough is a big county and encompasses a wide variety of areas. Iโm not sure what happened to make you think it sucks so bad. Do tell.
Itโs recently been rated numba one best city for veterans, btw.
Well, I lived in the Tampa area til I bought a house in 2019 in NPR.
I do actually like the James Haley VA, though. I never had any of the nightmare scenarios described at other VAs, thankfully.
Did most of my teenage goofing off around the USF area on Fowler ave in the 90s.
After seeing what the mayor and a lot of other scumbags are up to around there, it makes me not exactly hopeful for Tampa. Especially with some of the recent influx of celebrities and their money.
Iโve had nightmare scenarios at James Haley ER. Itโs horrible, especially at night. They were doing a parking garage ER for a while due to covid. Letโs just say it made National news it was so bad. Idk if itโs still up. The waiting room in the regular ER will nearly kill you. If you make it out of there, youโll probably be ok.
