I wouldn't be surprised, all I know is that when we went there were people of all different color, speaking many different languages. I definitely wont be going back though, I'm not going to be there if God decides to destroy this one too.
I think there are enough lessons to read and discuss without actually building the very thing that angered God. If we’re going to go that route, why stop there? Let’s do a gold calf, human sacrifices to pagan gods...oh, wait...
I see both sides of the argument, but I stand with the OP on this one. Why do what God has specifically condemned. Building a tall building is ok, building a building to reach God was the sin, not the specified height. This seems dumb.
I’m thinking the ark was deliberate in order to gain trust, so they could then roll out this evil.
