Lol. Who was the passenger, a cop? Because if it was a citizen they would have checked the firearm, unloaded, in their checked luggage and declared it to TSA first thing.
If they were breaking the law and taking it through the checkpoint then they weren't supposed to do that, no need for new laws. Funny thing is they tried to pull out all stops on Kyle and act like he was illegally carrying they lost and got it wrong.
TSA misses so many banned items that make it through the checkpoint every year it's embarrassing, do we don't need any more new security either, fix what we have.
I took a flight recently (I fly a lot) and I noticed the TSA guy scanning my carry on computer bag looked at me funny. When I got to my destination and was setting up to start work I noticed that my 4" folding knife was in that bag. Couldn't believe I got through security with it! It seems like they (TSA) really don't care anymore.
Waiting for "them" to release the identity and race of the shooter. Aloha Snackbar maybe? Latest I heard is after the gun discharged he ran out of the airport.
Alec strikes again.

That's 4 years ago. I'll bet their stats are worse now.
Yeah my point is it's consistent and has been, the TSA isn't making you safer but they spend a lot of money acting like they are.
I see what you did there...
https://media.greatawakening.win/post/L7NUfUgy.png Purkiss80 has post in the hot section. But it refers to Q also.
FBI at it again...
I would check out u/purkiss80 post simply because it mentions Q.
Why does a PASSENGER have a weapon.
