I wonder what's going on in my company's (large international firm with gov't contracts) HR. We get email updates, the latest said compliance is pushed back 1/18, but there was also a blurb about how they know people are quitting over this and they don't want that so they will honor exemptions and all that.
I'm holding off putting in for mine despite automated emails nagging me my Workday task on the matter is not done yet as I'd rather not be on list if I don't have to, a lot can happen by 1/18, but I wonder if there are enough non-responders they are getting nervous or what (i.e. will they do the smart thing and rubber stamp exemptions, or the dumb thing and do the gov't's dirty work and insist on checking them thoroughly or whatever).
Most HR processes are such a headache I bet they are dreading the amount of shitstorm rolling there way if they go forward with this. I bet HR people start quitting too, not what they signed up for. It’ll get interesting for sure!
