Hey Guys,
I know it's tough times. I am curious to know a little more about my anon family.
What projects are you working on to keep you sane during these times?
For me.
Project 1: Create a software open source framework Project 2: Create a small fintech app for influencers, experts, gig workers and small businesses. Project 3: Learning how to draw and do digital art.
What are you working on?
I am hoping more people can chime in here. Hoping this can be fun and positive for us all.
M
Right now I'm working on getting rid of these kids for a long awaited 4 day weekend. Yippee ki yea.
Hahahahah. Lucky you!
I have had kids from Monday last week to today with no break. I'm gonna shout Hallelujah when their Mom comes through that door. Amen.
Hahaha.
Good luck :)
I had kids everyday last week and Saturday including I taught the Sunday school class, got home thinking I was going to have the rest of that day and my son called and asked if I'd babysit while he and the wife went Christmas shopping. Then they gave the kids the entire week off from school and so I've had them all week until their Mom gets off work tonight. Then I was asked if I'd babysit Saturday......what do you think?
I typed this before, above, but I deleted it before hitting enter since there's no point dwelling on the negative, but now I must.
First of all God Bless you Grandma. Our "grandparents" used COVID as an excuse to succumb to full blown alcoholism and toxic fear mongering. They used it as an excuse not to see their toddler grandchild because of germs (restaurants and casinos were fine though, lol). And I guess it's been a good excuse as Ive had exactly 1 and 1/2 "days off" in the past two years, and my wife had to drive 300 miles round trip to accomplish that. Work at home Dad here.
It's been an awesome blessing to directly raise my son by myself everyday, but it's long, lonnnnng past the point where I treasure going to the doctor or dentist, just to get some quiet time.
It's made me stronger that's for sure. Sigh.
Not complaining. Just saying I understand you 110%, lol
Thank you. It's 6AM Central time and I just put the turkey in the oven. It will be done at 10:30 and then I can start on my dressing. I baked 2 pies, made an icebox pie and an apple crisp last night along with dressed/devilled eggs and potato salad. I also chopped all my onion and celery for todays dressing. I think it was about 10PM last night after I got a shower so I could go to bed. I'm usually asleep by 8 as the 1year old wears me out. But I didn't get that luxury last night. That is why I am waiting for tomorrow morning. It will be the first time in weeks that I will get to sleep in.
God bless you for raising your son. You don't find many men willing to do that. When he is grown you will reap the rewards for having raised such a fine young man. God doesn't put more on us than we can stand, he knows your frustrations. I feel God will work something out to get you some breaks occasionally. I will be praying for you. And let me be the first to congratulate you for stepping up to the plate. Have a very wonderful Thanksgiving and kiss that young little boy for me. Don't forget to thank God for placing him in your care right before you eat. God doesn't grant us blessings unless he is sure we can take care of them. Your friend Mary.
Mary, you are a wonderful woman. Thank you so much for the kindness... And the ability to "vent". God is Great and everything you said about the situation is true. I am grateful all day, every day.
Kisses will be delivered right after this. 🤗
And tell 'little man' here is a bunch of kisses and hugs from me and all our friends on GAW.
XXXOOOXXOXOXOXOXOOOOOOXXXXXXOOXOXOXOXOOOXXOXOXOXOXOXOXOOOOXOXOXXXXOOO..............
Thanks. Here's a kiss right back at you and a wonderful hug to keep you with us in God's house. I'll talk to you later friend. And if you ever need to 'vent' again, I'm always here. I've vented on a couple frens myself right here on GAW. They are all wonderful people too. God bless.
So what are you going to do?
Are you going to take time to yourself. Or are you going to babysit?
She has no one else. She called on her break today and said that the "oven" was down/she makes radiators and that they were going to have to work Saturday for 8 hours. I told her I would but that Friday and Sunday were all mine. That means take the kids shopping with you. I will try and see if Joyce will teach Sunday school this Sunday so I can sit and hear the sermon.
Sounds good. I hope you have a great weekend!
Me too! You and yours too.
My sanity project: re-wilding a 5-acre strip of lush valley bottom in northwestern Oregon. Slowly (money limited) planting trees and bushes to create a resilient, climate adapted food forest. Beauty, diversity, abundance. Just being out there in nature reminds me of what (and Who) is really important in life.
Bless you.
Being out in nature is something that I want to do more of. Staying on these devices all the time is not a good thing.
Awesome.
I'm in the process of getting a business up and running. My machines should be here at the start of next year. I can't wait to hire people. I'll be one of the guys with the "Brandon lovers need not apply" signs.
I was also thinking about making a website that DWAC would want to buy. Call it MAGA Owned and make it a listing of businesses that are verified to be Patriots. Not sure how I'd verify but I figure that couldn't be too hard to figure out. Maybe just have an interview and say a bunch of triggering shit to see how people react.
That's a great idea!
We need more MAGA startups!
I am in the tech business. So I am hoping to be a MAGA friendly tech company.
I used to be a linux sys-admin/scripter that was good with SQL. Then I hit my head and can't do that anymore. I get headaches, it didn't hurt my intelligence.
What type of business could you see DWAC wanting to buy up that is MAGA? I think that if someone was to purposefully build one for them to buy then there would be a good chance it could happen. The directory was my 1st thought. There is a law that Government Contracts can't go to businesses that use supply chains that are owned by terrorist/cartels/enemies. Not sure the name of the law but there are companies that vet supply chains to make sure other businesses aren't violating that law.
I am working on a project to counter the social narrative from the left.
I think its something that can help normies as well.
Finding a multimillion dollar treasure. not only has it been the hardest thing I have ever done but also the most fun,
DB Coopers cash?
Forrest Fenn. News will drop before Christmas. It's a long story...
lol!
Let me know if you find it. :)
The world will know soon.
I've been working on a propulsion system that will be like no other. Better than all of them. I would've shared with Trump's Space Force if it works, but now, I don't know who I'd share it with. Not Bezos. Elon? idk. Bigelow? idk. Sad that I can't trust my own government or any other for that matter. I keep praying for the storm.
Music, music, music. Thanksgiving mixtape dropping tomorrow.
Raising my kid and being a super great "neighborhood dad" for all the kids. Not a hobby, more of a sacred duty. It takes up 99% of my time.
Decoding films for "symbolism". A project I'd unwittingly been undertaking for 30 some years.
Textmode computer art. Live and die by the keyboard.
I'd love to hear more about the decode project! I like watching movies that are definitely trying to wake us or rubbing our faces in it.
I'm about done with all of the easy ones. Love to get a list of some more obscure ones.
Golly, the problem with that is its more of a hobby than a project. Raising a toddler so I get like an hour a night to watch half a film if I'm lucky.
Finished Scorcese's New York New York night before last - it's a textbook blueprint for how to sell souls for fame (and not necessarily one's own soul). I was lead to that one by Mulholland Drive, which is essentially the same story, just with a more esoteric, demonic plot. If you watch it, pay close attention to the elderly couple as they leave the airport. They're hungry...
Last night was 1980's The Elephant Man, which like all things David Lynch is the same story, just more obfuscated for Populism. Blue Velvet is the same. Twin Peaks is his definitive take on the subject (it has it all) but one must watch the entire thing, which is enormous, and really let it breath. Started watching Inland Empire recently, but I was NOT ready to subject myself to it just yet, so soon after these other ones. It's pretty clear from the get go It's going to be a gnarly ride.
Argentos Suspiria is one I mention here a lot - it's about as explicit about Satanic Harvesting as it gets.
Just watched Speed as well, but I'll be honest, it's a good "drinking movie" and I took advantage of that to just unwind and enjoy it. I absolutely saw relevant information (I suspect how they ultimately trick Hoppers character is important) but would need to gather my thoughts on it before speaking. And I do not often get time for that.
I'll get a list of my "to watch pile" Snow White, Godfather III (both obvious), The Bourne Series, Lynch's Rabbits + On The Air + Short Films (rarer, less known oddities), D.A.R.Y.L., Cloak & Dagger (1984), Interview with the Vampire (as a refresher to the books I read eons ago, Egyptology, etc), movie 43 (just a hunch), Trevor Moore'ss talk show (R.I.P.), I ❤️ Huckabee's, Shymalans films (I've only seen Devil!), Being There 1979, C.H.U.D., El Topo + The Holy Mountain + Santa Sangre, Metropolis + M., Snow White, Society 1989, Sunset Boulevard, The Burbs (I suspect Joe Dante), The Howling (I suspect Joe Dante), The Island 2005, The Lawnmower Man 1992, The Magician 1958, The Passion of the Christ, Times Square 1980 and Under the Rainbow 1981 (take a look at this one! 😲
So yeah, not a lot of time and a lot to do. I've watched quite a few of these previously, just need a refresher, which helps.
Thanks for the reply. I'll get on watching some of these!
This has been my project -- day and night -- for the past 312 days.
Building my business. Enjoying life, keeping powder dry. Waiting...
