So... The Jews didn't believe him to be the messiah and still don't. They killed him as a heretic.

I thought the real Jews were of the tribe of Judah. Does his lineage follow that? Most of the Jews of today trace to eastern Europe. ie. not Jews.

Jesus is considered as being of Judah, certainly. However, even in this narrow case of who is a Jew it's really the Kingdom of Judah - which includes both the tribes of Judah and Benjamin - and some fraction of Levi.
