I know that district. I know people who work in that distract and know the heads of the district. The area that this school district covers is not a left-leaning district.
The reason you get a tyrannical school board over what is a generally right-leaning area is because of this:
They are fighting like crazy to stop parents from shifting them to single member districts because they'd voted out overnight.
The shills want to push this as a "it's Abbott's fault" when it's not. This is a local fight caused by how the left designed it to be an at-large vote to override accountability to parents. Parents need to fight hard at the local level and keep pushing to switch to single member districts. That would end the Left's control of this huge school district.
Of course the Leftists are trying dirty tactics like intimidation (mask mandates to prevent parents from speaking and arresting parents) in hopes of preventing this. Usually school boards get forgotten and they are allowed full control of them. This is the first time there has been so much push back against school boards and they're not taking it well.

I would sue the board for false imprisonment (locking parents in a room so they can’t speak) and the guards for false arrest.
