The easiest way I've explained Q to normies is to just leave the crazier stuff out entirely, just get them to stick their foot in the door and use their own brain and go from there. I explain you can find fringe crazy beliefs anywhere you look. Like would you say physics is bunk because flat earthers exist? Medicine is bunk because homeopathy exists? (and yes I know I know, we need to tread lightly here haha)
Q is essentially a movement pointing out that some of our most cherished and trusted institutions are entirely corrupt and run by criminals (and this very much includes main stream media), and you don't have to dig that much or believe anything too crazy to go with that idea. The other part of the equation is believing that Trump was of that world, but not part of that world. He knew what was going on but didn't participate. Why think that? because of how much all the other criminals had a problem with him, because of how much these evil people hated him, that was enough. Finally the idea that Trump and others are doing something about it, the plan. Might be real might not, I'm of the opinion that it is. From there I've come to believe some more crazier things, but it's evidence based and I got there from reason and examination of the evidence. I think Q is real, but I don't have any solid evidence for that, just coincidence and circumstantial evidence. But what I do know for sure is the stuff Q talked about is real, there are definitely criminals in high places, there are definitely dark and evil things going on, so even if Q turned out to just be some guy in a basement larping then it wouldn't even matter, the stuff he talks about it real, and that's what's important not Q.
I've had mixed success going this route, but at the very least they don't think I'm brainwashed or in a cult, and in some cases has opened some of their eyes, at least a little bit.
