Yes, it is more convenient to use tape, as tape isn't as easily removed and is much easier to clean. Paper also sheds particulates like crazy, and when you're dealing with delicate equipment designed to detect volumes of nanoliters, paper is the last thing you're supposed to have in a safety hood.
Edit: If it's easier for you to believe that the 'HELP' sign is 1) a desperate plea by a supposedly enslaved lab tech in a PCR lab 2) and not a label or signifier for a High Energy Lipid Protein designated use machine, then go for it. It sounds like you've got your mind made up on the latter anyways.
Whatever you've got in your life that's making you act this way, please get some help. You need some serious therapy.
You ever been in a lab? There’s tape and paper signs and shit everywhere. Even diagnostic labs.
This is extremely common
Sounds like my desk at home.😂

"Whew, lad". And this right here is why the over 50% U.S. STEM PhD candidates are on H1B visas. Edit: Why'd you delete your comment?
In the fantasyland of your head until others chime in dude.
I see. Hey good luck with that.
