I believe AIDS was the trial run, then came Ebola; SARS, MERS; SARSCoV-1 which was also an H1N1, but spliced, cooked up from Spanish Flu DNA. I became suspicious during that last one: we called it the bouncing flu, because it came in 10 day cycles, in waves.
