Yeah, if you think about it, it serves dual purpose. If we assume Pence was a deep state (possibly pedo), who co-operated with Trump but who also knew he would have to pay the price for treason anyway, this fits perfectly. Do a treasonous act to expose the stolen election at the right time and enable the devolution, while at the same time be the fall guy and pay the price.
