But since it came up again, let's talk about #2. Yes, that's a great thing and should be done. But I feel Average Joe Pede sniffing around for public SSIDs on their iPhone is probably much ado about very little at this point. These people are stupid, but I find it amazing to believe they'd be broadcasting shady wifi networks publicly at this point.
Now I'd you wanna sniff around with a laptop out in your car, that's another matter. But I do feel a little embarrassed for the folks who were posting screenshots of wifi networks at their polling places recently.
No harm no foul, but that's probably a waste of time.
I think they'd be using wired connection only if they were truly interested in committing fraud without being busted. I think it would be safer to hide a sneaky powerline adapter than to use Wi-Fi at all
