The fear יִרְאַ֣ת (yir·’aṯ) Noun Strong's 3374: Fear, reverence
This does not mean being scared of in the sense you seem to misunderstand it. It's not fear as in being in terror, it's fear as in bein in awe of.
Where the Positive phrase "God-Fearing man / woman" comes from.
We (Christians) are instructed to Fear the Lord at least 4 times in scripture that I can think of off the top of my head. To "love" God is to have reverence for Him AND follow His Word which COMMANDS you to "fear" Him.
Does that not sound backwards to you? "Commands you fear" God? Ever met a truly loving soul? Did you ever feel they wanted you to fear them? No. Right? Nor did their peace "demand" anything of you or from you..did they? Well don't think any less of your God. There is certainly nothing to fear. Is there?
The negative effects on any human's biology, chemistry and DNA is identical when employing fear... regardless of the reason for it. Odd that our creator would desire we self-inflict harm to ourselves. That's just the science of fear. No bias involved.
