Just being "friends" with somebody doesn't really mean jack shit. You can know somebody for decades without really knowing them, and unless you have information that Carlson knew about Hunter's illegal activities - really knew about them - or was in some way involved... well, how well do any of you really know the people you know? And do we know it was an actual friendship, with them sharing confidences, or more of an acquaintance?
There have been wives of serial killers who seem to have had no clue what their hubby was doing, and just being the son of a serial killer doesn't mean that the son knew anything, much less was involved or is a serial killer himself, and avoiding any contact with him because of what his father is or was would not exactly be Christian behavior, now would it?
And it would have been a good move for Carlson to develop some sort of relationship with the Biden family just for his career's sake. For all we now know he might have been hoping that might help him to dig out something he could later use.
So I wouldn't jump to condemn Carlson just for that.
And no, I'm not a Carlson fan. All I have seen of him are a few youtube clips, as I live in Europe and haven't watched TV for nearly a couple of decades, much less search out any American channel whatevers, not series, not talk shows, pretty much nothing except occasional movies, online. I prefer reading. But for people who claim they prefer to do their own research this place does have a few too many individuals who seem to think "research" is seeing snippets of things and then jumping to conclusions based on them. Seriously. Speculating something like that might mean something is one thing, instantly assuming - what seems to be have happened here - that he is in cohorts with the Bidens based on that is totally another.
Most times all we can ever see is parts. And remember one thing, even with the potential traitors - in order to get information about the enemy some people always have to play spies, even up to the point of acting as collaborators. Blind faith or hoping too much is not good, but neither are instant judgements based on sketchy info.
We do not KNOW more than part of the truth at any point. So speculate, but try to reserve your final judgement, and while being wary do try not to start throwing stones unless and until there is really good evidence that somebody has actually done something that can not be excused. Like an actual crime.
And remember, always remember, that presumably some of these who are jumping to conclusions, and condemning and throwing doubt on people who are at least partly on your side are actually your enemies, hoping to break the ranks and create distrust and suspicion among you so you'd be that much less efficient foiling their plans.
