I keep reading how freemasons are evil and do horrible things. Yet I grew up with masons. I'm not evil, nor do I do horrible things. So, being new, and open minded. I would like to have a civilized discussion about the freemasons! And remember. I come from family members whom are passed now, but, were. Masons. I'm open to here. Thank you.

May I ask what about this comment is upsetting you, fren ? This comment was specifically for the person who talked about free masonry in his family past.
As for my family, the up in for poor rural Asia so highly unlikely there were any slaves unless they were my ancestors, but sure I will ask grandpa of he kept slaves while toiling dawn to dusk for the local Zamindar - land owner
You've assumed the anon's forefathers did something he must now retroactively make society whole over. And if they did heinous acts, they were their acts not the anon's.
/conclusion: you're a moron
Personal attacks are always an indication something touched a nerve. Let me guess, you come from a very privileged family? Nothing wrong in that, lots of people made their fortunes working hard, saving and passing it on to next generation. No need to get triggered if thats the case.
However, if you think your parents/grandparents were committing crimes against humanity for the fortunes they made, then I would say the same thing applies to you. Please meditate on that.
Are assumptions and sanctimony your normal?
Assumptions only based on experience, and I have seen the same pattern of behaviour from insecure people forever.
As for sanctimony - some people do find it confusing when they hurling insults at people and don't get what they expected. Just because its not something you are used to, does not make it sanctimony.
