Because he has to look like he has no clue and was just as fooled as everyone else was. He put Fauci at the forefront for a reason. Now the whole world knows his name and what he’s done his entire career. This could be a very costly lesson in “don’t blindly trust the experts”. War is hell, casualties are inevitable.
