I couldn’t watch it on Nov 5th, as usual…
It’s amazing how this movie gets even more actual every time I watch it:
Fourteen years earlier, Sutler, Secretary of Defence at the time, launched a secret project at Larkhill, which resulted in the creation of the St. Mary's Virus. Peter Creedy, the current leader of the Norsefire Party, suggested releasing the virus onto Britain, albeit through water route to avoid a pandemic. Targeting St. Mary's School, a tube station and a water treatment plant, the virus killed more than 100,000 people and was blamed on a terrorist organisation. Norsefire used the fear and chaos to elevate Sutler to the office of High Chancellor, win an overwhelming majority in Parliament, and profit off the cure for the virus.
Familiar, innit?
And how did V send his message to the people?
The emergency broadcasting system.
Have you ever noticed how many comic book writers were occultists or outright satanists? There are quite a few of them. Symbolism is what gives it away. And in an art form where symbols are iconic, the vile stuff tends to stick out. Alan Moore was definitely into the occult when he wrote the book.
V=Q
Hmmm 🤔
V is Roman numeral for 5. Q is the initial of Quint which means the 5th (Think of Charle Quint).
BTW, today is the 5th.
Two separate things. The EBS scene wasn't what was vile. I was referring to the writers of the material,
