Mind you, this for all intents was a unviable fetus just a mere two decades ago. It's now considered previable but 99% of people won't have the money or medical team to make the "miracle" happen

Without round the clock monitoring and the most cutting edge NICU technology she is dead in the water. Add debate over the concept of ensoulment and when it happens to add another layer to it. No offense but this is essentially homonculus.
Even today, survival rate is incredibly low, and it's a handful of hospitals who could make it happen. To use this as an argument against abortion is like using an incestual rape pregnancy to argue in favor of it.
Also this is a real outlier case. Her name is Lyla, thank god she is alive and with no real health issues but she is a one in a billion shot and not the norm. For most parents who have a "micro preemie" the story ends very tragically and will traumatize the parents. Sometimes it's best to end it gracefully and try again.
A parent never gives up on their child, even if odds of survival are low.
Absolutely.
Where there is LIFE, there is HOPE!
100% this ^^^
And what does ANY OF THAT have to do with the fact this child isn't just a clump of cells as the anti-lifers would have one believe?
My sister was told her daughter would probably not survive birth let alone smile, laugh or acknowledge any other person around her. That child turned four last month and had done all those things and more.
How wonderful for your Family's blessing! ππΆπ
Ah. You are the judge of life here. What exactly are your qualifications to make this judgement? This is what you would kill in the womb. Your body and all that. It's murder and pure evil.
How do her chances of survival stack up to a covid patient's chance?
100% of all people who even hear the word covid will die I'm afraid. Pfizer doesn't have a shot for immortality yet.
