Dr Oz has been a loyal long time friend of Trumps. Dr Oz was one of the few people who had lots to lose but still refused to abandon Trump despite enormous pressure to do so. Only Tom Brady and Tiger Woods displayed the same courage and loyalty despite the costs.
During the 2016 campaign when everyone said Trump couldn't get the suburban female vote ie the people who watch and adore Dr Oz, he had Trump on his show for an hour. That appearance humanized Trump and the affection Dr Oz had for his friend sent a powerful signal. It was OK to like Trump.
Naturally Trumps Dr Oz appearance triggered unhinged rage and seething. But Dr Oz NEVER betrayed their friendship.
Btw in 2014 Dr Oz was in the Obama Administrations crosshairs. Did he have too much influence with the viewers that Oprah was supposed to control? Anyway, Dr Oz, like his friend Trump, survived being targeted by Obama.
Bottom line, President Trump needs a few courageous and loyal friends in DC. Friends who won't back stab him. Friends who will tell him if they learn of back stabbing schemes. Friends who will be honest. Few friends and even fewer acquaintances are capable of such honesty.
President Trump has always prized courage, honesty and loyalty above all else. So do I. Ideological yes men and echo chambers are for fools and fearfuls. Fortunately, President Trump is neither.
Great comment
Why are you defending a man who has made most of his medical career out of shilling for poor quality supplements that promise impossible results?
I have family who worked with one of Oz’s close friends at Proctor and Gamble. He’s been planning to run for Senate and then the Presidency since the 1990s.
The fact of the matter is, PA has either Dr. Oz or Dubya’s treasury undersecretary for foreign affairs—who definitely reeks of DS à la money laundering during the Iraq War—as candidates for Senate in this election.
And it freaking sucks. They’re both terrible.
I wouldn’t touch Oz with a 49 and a half foot pole.
She outline exactly why she is supporting him. It’s like you didn’t read it?
No. It’s a rhetorical question.
Apparently you can’t understand sarcasm on the internet
So you were not ripping on Oz? Ok!
