To be fair, fearing an uprising of the delusional is rational. They make important decisions based on faith instead of evidence and facts, therefore they can not be reasoned with.
Just take a look at the new death vax cult.
NPR this morning: Red counties aren’t vaccinating, and they have a death rate higher than Blue counties!
Me: are you gonna mention how the hot batches of COVID “vaccines” seem to magically get routed to Red states?
NPR: its because Republicans don’t trust our institutions!
Me: Is this the part where you gaslight me about the 2020 election?
NPR: Because Republicans don’t trust our institutions, they are highly susceptible to vaccine misinformation!
Me: oh, now would be an excellent time to bring up specific examples of misinformation, and then debunk it!
NPR: we... uh... don’t want to articulate what this “misinformation” is, because that would only dignify it with a response.
Me: oh, so basically you already know your strawman narratives are so incredibly weak, that they will do more harm than good?
You know that claiming people won’t get vaccinated because of an irrational fear of needles, can’t actually be followed up by just telling people “don’t be scared of needles”?
Or is it because you realize that fear of needles isn’t exactly misinformation, and theres really no way to discredit someone else’s fear
