WW2 was a launch pad for communism. It is what made the soviets a super power.

We should have stayed out of it for the most part. Hawaii wasn't really ours at that point and when you consider all of the Hawaiian islands including the NW islands where aces like Midway atoll are located the island chain is actually closer to Japan.
