From the looks of him he isn't getting any better, and he's also 94, a whole 10 years older than Bergoglio. Would love to see Benedict back, but by the time Bergoglio might be gone he'd be over 95. He would only be Pope for a very short time I imagine.
But like you I will wait and see what the heck even happens. For all we know this story might not be the real deal, or it might be blown up, or who knows. I have to wait for more info to really make a judgement on it.
