Just had this conversation today with my Normie co-worker. He's always been afraid of needles, doctors and dentists due to a few traumatic childhood experiences. He's been smoking (chronic cough) and drinking heavily for 30+ years but is NEVER out of the office due to a cold or flu.
Either he was blessed with a rock solid immune system, or his avoidance of shots his entire life has kept him healthier than myself.
Fortunately, he's starting to wake up and asking questions. My other coworkers tend to just shut down or get defensive.
I was born 4 weeks early and spent my first 2 weeks out of the womb hooked up to machines. That was enough poking and prodding for my lifetime, qnd apparently those memories have been stuck in my subconscious my whole life. I've always hated going to the doctor or dentist. Hate needles. Hate pain. Causes severe anxiety and makes me sick. Aside from some vaccines I assume my parents allowed the doctors to give me as a child, I've rejected everything else as an adult. All the times the wanted to do blood work even though I didn't have any obvious health issues, I passed. By all counts, I should have had tons more illnesses. And yet, (knocks on wood) I've maintained a fairly healthy life. Unlike your coworker, I've never smoked, don't do any drugs, don't even drink. If I'm dying I'll go to the hospital and that's about it. Always hated going. Just being inside the office makes me nauseous. Was always embarrassed about it, but maybe a blessing in disguise so they didn't pump me full of shit over the years!

Your guardian angel was quite busy early on, surely that shaped your future health. And fortunately we have you here with us now in this forum.
God Bless.
