I am completely open to it. Math, for example, is one of those things. I'm extremely quick and accurate with practical mathematics and understand applied mathematics for the most part. Theoretical "pure" math completely eludes me though.
I have an extremely high IQ. I was offered to skip 3-4 grades when I was little. In high school, teachers were always concerned for me because they knew I was an actual genius but was comfortable being top 25% instead of top 10%.
I'd feel rather vindicated to learn that constructed mathematics aren't real. It would finally make sense to me why I have no problem reading physics papers or meteorological equations but can't make sense of even some algebra concepts.
