Actually, these people might not be as stupid as you think. They all mention being unhappy in their jobs and they're probably correct in that they are being made to work hard for little pay. Most likely they work for large corporations who are only interested in profit and view their employees as a necessary evil and expense.
If the 'Great Resignation" shakes up a few of these corporations and results in more humane working conditions and a fair wage, then it only helps our cause. More power to the people.
A question to ask of this demographic is, how many of them quit their jobs due to the vaxx mandates? Also, who wants to spend a vast portion of their day muzzled and barely breathing? Two years of this and I'd be willing to chuck it all and quit, too.
ironically, the "toxic work environments" are the result of corporations trying to cater to the peculiarities and demands of the millennial generation.
That's because the Gen Zers figure Uncle Poopy Pants will pay them to sit on their asses forever.
"Experts have chalked up the trend, also known as the Great Resignation, to pandemic-related factors, including fear of COVID contamination, burnout and an unwillingness to return to the office as many former desk jockeys haven’t seen their workplace since March 2020. Some business owners even blamed the pandemic stimulus checks over the summer for disincentivizing people from seeking and keeping employment."
Zoomers want to work, we just don’t see much benefit in working anymore. We can’t afford houses, we can’t afford nice cars, nice vacations, etc. I’ve been working my ass off all year, and a 3 day vacation basically bankrupted me. There’s no time for fun when life is steamrolling you, and now inflation is greasing the ground you’re running on.
It all just seems so fake, so pointless. It’s no wonder people are just giving up. Watching my parents take 0 days off for decades and still not have enough to retire in their late 50s… it’s just rough.
Not a peep about people leaving their jobs due to vaccine mandates. I'd like to see those numbers! They are totally hiding this information. Journalism is DEAD.
It was just last year they were screaming for a $15 an hour minimum wage thinking they would all be rich, but as we see, minimum will never be livable no matter how high it is.
It opens job opportunities for people that really want to work and it lets those go that are not happy with their jobs. So, go ahead, you want to be hungry but happy? Ok, I prefer my family to be financially safe and accept that someone has to sacrifice a little comfort and happiness for the wellbeing of my children.

As a Zoomer, this. Luckily I don’t work for a corporation, but a lot of the zoomers I know that do hate it.

They weren't sitting on their asses, though.
You have to have a job in order to quit it.
Yup, and you can’t collect if you quit.

Did you read the story? Most of them don't sound like workaholics or based.

Just an excuse for Biden’s poor job numbers
I would love to quit my job too, but i have a Wife to support and bills to pay. I don't live off mommy and daddy
I’m glad inflation isn’t killing you financially. Good luck supporting yourself off $15/h anywhere in the US nowadays. Those days are far gone.

Say what you will, but they were working. You have to give them that much.
I think this is good.
