My 29 year old daughter will need to get vaccinated in order to attend grad school at the University of Oregon. We are thinking the least dangerous approach would be the Novavax vaccine or similar protein subunit vaccines ( non-mRNA, non DNA capsid type). What are your thoughts on their safety?

Remember, they told us the J&J vax was not a mRNA vax at first. That was a lie! These are very difficult decisions but if the vax is part of a depopulation plan there are no safe vaccines.....
Just don't send her to grad school, it's really not that great anyways. Also, if she must go, let her wait a couple years and get some experience first. It isn't going anywhere and you could appropriately estimate the risk of injection injury by then.
I honestly can not support any of these "vaxxes" at this point.
There are no safe vaccines and you fuqing know that.
Also, sue the fuck out of that school and anyone else you can. Lawsuits will come from everywhere
Okay, not going to flip my shit on you like everyone else.
The Novavax one WOULD probably be the safest of all of the ones you listed. It's a subunit vaccine that contains the spike protein harvested from actual coronavirus and purified so it cannot become virulent. It doesn't trick your body into making spike proteins or anything like that. It is the actual antigen. So once you're body fights it off, that's it. It doesn't contain any genetic material from the virus, so you would still be getting partial antibodies.
Now the issue here is that the Novavax vaccine is not EUA here, and won't be available. It also will likely not be accepted by the university.
That being said, I'd have your daughter hold off and start her career first. Unless she's going to be jumping right into an executive position, the Masters degree will not do much to help her at this point anyway.
And at this point, she may not be able to get a job without the VAX any way? Hold the line until the dust settles!
This isn't reddit... if you want to do mental gymnastics to justify a vaccine, you found the wrong place.
She is more important than the school. Always will be.
You don't get it. It's that fucking simple. Finish grad school down the road for fuck sake people
Why capitulate? Do you think a state education is that important? Challenge the 'requirement.' There is no constitutional standing for it. It's more important she knows that than whatever that grad school would teach her.
Can she get china’s or Russia’s vaccine? They don’t do shit but supposedly they don’t hurt you either. The question is if the school will accept it. I don’t know how to get a medical exemption these days. Maybe a doc on Montana will write one?
