They are afraid to let go, afraid to step out in faith because most don't have any. Its a social club; they are happy going through pious rituals without being challenged, tried and tested. Much easier to go to confession, say a few hail Marys and carry on as usual. Total fakes - most of them. Few saintly good people, but they cannot see the pagan side or the non-Biblical, anti-Christ teaching. Sad.
If you mean the catechism then yes. It subverts all Bible teaching and undermines and negates all that Jesus did. I said as much to a Jesuit once; he turned pale, looked utterly aghast and did a runner. When I asked after him I was told he'd left and nobody knew where he'd gone to. His brother, who was also a Jesuit, kept well away from me after that!

No the Bible quite obviously. Also fake and gay
