I have pretty fair skin, and burn easily, even on the top of my noggin. So I can't hang out long in the sun, so short times in the sun & vitamin D pills for me.
I am allergic to the sun (it is a real thing) and was able to raise my vitamin D from 26 to 58. I take 10,000 IU's per day with a Super K and I feel 1000% better when I can keep my D up. The higher level of D improves my ability to be out in the sun. High vitamin D levels are such a win/win for many conditions. Also my husband had a low vitamin D level (28) and he was outside all the time so obviously he isn't getting what he needs from the sun. He started on the same dosage and has improved his level also. Everyone is different I guess.
