What kind of industry is in this town to be targeted like this? Or was it targeted at the "bread basket" in general? Are there any other connections to be made in the other affected areas? People, corporations, etc?

I agree, with what we know about chemtrails, cloud/storm seeding, DEW's, HAARP, this isn't normal. Especially during this time of year. Watch, in a few days, NOAA will balme it on "muh climate change."
