If we, shoppers, are doing the job of employee at the "self checkout", shouldn't people who use "self checkout" get the employee discount? My brother, who works at a Walmart in Illinois gets a discount. So, if we are doing the work, we are technically employees also.
Right? I have asked employees where I can sign up for health insurance and when does it kick in. They look confused. Then I say "well, yeah I am working here now, i deserve benefits."
Dude, most actual Walmart employees don't ever get benefits like health insurance already. Walmart uses every trick in the book not to have to pay for such things and keeps their workers in poverty. No wonder they were confused.
oh good point, now I feel bad. :(
Good point!
I didn't know this was a thing cause I haven't been to Walmart in a few years but anytime someone says, "There's no line at the self checkout." I say, "Yeah but you're not paying me why would I do your job?"
