Nothing good can come from this proposed legislation.
We must protect our Second Amendment and "modernizing" the business of selling firearms is not the way.
We need less regulations, not more.

Wish there were more details on this. Title alone sounds creepy but I'd like to see more about this hot pile of poop.
Guns are safe.
Q
Guns are safe, but making it that much more of a pain in the ass to buy them isn't great
They're also trying to make it difficult/impossible to use them (e.g. by prosecuting those using weapons in self defense).
They are supposedly in control. They haven't been able to pass one piece of legislation thus far.
I hear they make great Christmas gifts for the family.
The bill is sponsored by a Democrat and co-sponsored by 6 more democrats and a single Republican. That alone tells me that this bill is trouble.
I'll try to find time during the work day here today and dig up some more substantive information to share.
EDIT: All 7 co-sponsors are Democrats. Mis-read on my part with the single Republican. Thank you, RagnarD.
Check out this article. Looks like a backdoor to creating a federal gun registry: https://bearingarms.com/john-petrolino/2021/12/13/hr-6225-adds-more-restrictions-on-gun-dealers-n53326
All 7 of the co-sponsors are Democrats.
Ragnar, thank you for the correction. I saw the "R" next to Rep James Langevin and thought it was his party. It's just his initial.
I did the same thing when I first saw the list :)
Like all these limiting laws. The comfort is being the majority rule.

While I agree with the sentiment, a lot of fools would strangle a lot of great men in history if this happened.
