permanent debt slavery

Applies most literally and accurately to the type of debt burden often assumed while still a minor, the only type that Congress has determined no one ever deserves a fresh start from. Thanks to constantly re-capitalizing interest, balances are able to accelerate quickly out of reach. You better make GREAT financial decisions as an ambitious teen, or else live your entire life as a debt slave LOL
