Yes! Exactly this. Killing all of the corrupt people would certainly stop their corruption but we would still be stuck with a broken society and potential sleepers that avoided the gallows. We need change not vengeance.
Not only should we pray for them to turn from evil but we should actively be changing ourselves for the better. Our moods and thoughts have unseen influences on those around us. Change yourself and youll change the world.
You can’t kill human nature but you can restrain it. Only God can deal with it correctly.
Its because human nature isnt flesh. We cant effectively control the dimension in which human nature or the soul resides. God can because he made that dimension. We passively influence it whenever we feel emotion or say a prayer but we cant comprehend how to directly interact with it and make changes.
