RSBN is getting a little grifty for my tastes.. The First is too. I appreciate their dedication to coverage, but the substance is more important that the headline. Making more and more sense why Bannon said "focus on the signal".
I can agree to that. There is a difference between doing factual cold headlines vs sensational ones; the data doesn't lie. There will be more clicks with the sensational one. It's unfortunately a fact of life.
Only when users change their habits will the news companies change theirs. It's great people like us can call out their sparkly bullshit here but it falls mostly on deaf ears (or blind eyes I guess).
Or stone hearts. Ones you can't change because they have already sold theirs to the narrative, whatever political affiliation it may be. I understand sensation is what makes money, hopefully people wont be so dull soon.
