Frens, I lost my job in January 2021 due to projects being shuttered in anticipation of the economy the resident would usher in. I've since applied for hundreds of jobs with no success.
I had a few jobs that I was accepted for on the condition that I get the clot shot. I subsequently informed them that I will never get it even if it costs me everything.
I'm lucky to be married to a wonderful women that shares the same sentiments but after almost a year of being unemployed and burning through savings, our financial state is declining. I've done odd and end jobs during this time but the ship is steadily sinking.
I trust God with all of my heart and fully understand the power of prayer. We could really use your prayers right now.
Do you have a plan to sell your home and start living like a monk, while you still have some capital remaining?
Have you explored how long you can live in a caravan park if you grow your own vegetables?
This is solid.
The ship is sinking, find something smaller that floats.
We are very frugal already. The next one that floats would be under a bridge.
My grandfather lived under a bridge in Indiana during the great depression.
You can do better. Think outside of the box, and don't give up. The only way to lose the game is to quit.
Oh My GOD - I can't believe i'm saying this !!! Fensby - "Don't be a Doomer" !!! This guy and his Wife : are gonna come across some great new venture , embrace it , and kick some serious ass with it . . . There gonna be saying to them selves : "Thank GOD" this happened to us , and what a blessing it all worked out for the best ! ( no offense Fansby ) That's the prayer i'll be throwing out !!!
There's nothing negative about having a plan.
If he does the calculations I suggested, he'll know exactly how long he can survive in a worst case scenario. It may scare him, but it'll also wake him up.
There's nothing wrong with living like a monk and there's nothing wrong with growing your own vegetables.
This is the correct frame of mind that he needs to be in so he can make rational and informed choices. It will hopefully shock him into action and making pragmatic plans.
Praying while NOT living within your means is not smart.
