They may be getting in hours whatever, but it's not been this busy in awhile. It's different birds, too, none of which are showing up on ADBS. They never do.

those interested might tune into 4724.0 kHz, 8992.0 kHz, 11175.0 kHz, or 15016.0 kHz over at site http://websdr.ewi.utwente.nl:8901/ to listen for military aviation comms.
I made a post earlier about all the helicopters just patrolling around for the last three days. Non-stop. I'm in NJ right across the river from Manhattan.
are they sniffer-type helos?
I wouldn't know. They look pretty non-descript. I don't see anything mounted on them.
ah ok, good to keep an eye out for whats happening...i watch monkeywerx sometimes but i feel like not everything is exactly "open source" internet data, you may as well just physically observe some things.
As sure as I posted that, the traffic all but stopped from what I can hear.
I have been hearing lots of BIG planes in the night going to March AFB--unusual.
Do they still keep a bunch of B-52's there?
They have a museum, but I'm 15 mi from the actual base and don't see what is at the base, only what is in the air.
I grew up in Ontario and as a kid we would drive by March AFB and I use to see B-52's and B-47's parked at the Base. There was quite a few of them in those days. Those were really good days compared to the vile, Communistic and Satanistic Society we live in today!
I saw a chinook fly past my house this morning. I ran inside and checked adsbexchange and it wasn't showing up. Normally, I never see anything other than medical helicopters.
Let's hope there's a good reason for this.
USAF comms on 8992 kHz the past few hours have been almost non-stop, some in Morse code and some in voice... I'd say this is at least five times the normal amount of comms traffic.
