The word "migrants" make it sound like they moved here. They can also just be traffickers taking things/people across the border and back. Illegal aliens, the proper term, denotes that they are illegally here (hence alien to the country) regardless of what their intention is. But don't use that word! It would be mean -- and mask the true intention of said illegal aliens ;)
