I am very skeptical about modern prophets. You know you could just talk to someone who lives in Turkey to understand what was about to happen. By the way, how hilarious is it that their country is called turkey? I understand that’s where we got the name for the eponymous bird, but I keep picturing a giant turkey making decisions.
You are entitled to believe what you want, but the Bible is full of prophecy and prophets. It's hard to justify believing in Christ and the Bible, yet not believing in prophetic insight.
With that said, some skepticism is warranted. The Bible tells us to test prophets, and that many false prophets will arise.
From the ones that I listen to, it seems pretty apparent they are not doing it for the money, so to compare them to Joel Osteen is totally off base.
The problem with the Bible thumpers is they all think that they have the Holy Spirit directing their interpretation of Sacred Scripture. That is why Christ founded a teaching church. Whenever there was a dispute he told them to take it to the church if they could not resolve the dispute between themselves. If they don't listen to the teaching Authority of the Church than let them suffer the eternal consequences.
Well said! God gave His Body of Believers Gifts of the Holy Spirit. Those gifts INCLUDE PROPHESY. It’s the Body of Christ with the power of the Holy Spirit that is holding back complete evil on this earth. We are told that when His Church is removed, along with His Holy Spirit, evil will be unchecked and rampant. The two witnesses who will proclaim His message of judgment during the final stages before Christ returns will perform many miracles. If you are a born- again Christian and you are mocking the works of the Holy Spirit, well I suggest those read Matthew 12:31
Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
Yep.
Interestingly I heard a YouTube prophecy recently, that among other things said Turkey’s currency would collapse soon.
It may have been Amanda Grace, can’t recall, but it was within the last two weeks or so.

I mean… Come on. That would be awesome.

And would you say that about Kim Clement?
